Passionate speakers lined up!

Updated: Sep 4, 2020

When we attend a conference, we want to hear from people who are passionate about what they do, people who are experts in their field or fundraisers who have done something amazing for their organisations. That’s what we have tried to bring you on the 24th September in Devlin Fleming’s Scottish Fundraising Conference.

There has been some fantastic fundraising going on in Scotland over the past year and it’s been difficult to pick campaigns to put in the spotlight but we are delighted to have Pippa Johnston from Aberlour to talk about their award winning “No Bad Ends” campaign, Gillian Green and Tracey Groom from Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland to tell us how they switched their digital fundraising to recruit thousands of Kindness Volunteers and Charlene Low from Beatson Cancer Charity and Andy Dunlop from Stayin’ Inn to talk about their amazing online quiz that has raised over £30k through the lockdown.

We are bringing together an expert panel to look at what has happened to major donor fundraising with Margaret Clift from National Museums Scotland, Ali MacLeod from National Trust Scotland and Charlotte di Corpo from Glasgow Life. They are going to be looking back at the effect of lockdown and forward to the shape of major donor fundraising in the future.

Our Meet the Funders panel will include the Corra Foundation and the National Lottery. I am sure we will all be keen to hear what their plans are moving out of lockdown.

Finally, our line-up includes some of the best consultants in their field today. Caryn Skinner is a regular conference speaker in Scotland and her understanding of the workings of teams and organisations is bound to inspire us to come out of lockdown in a better position. About Loyalty have been conducting regular surveys with donors throughout lockdown and Roger Lawson will talk about the results and how to build donor loyalty in a recession.

Our line-up is completed with Ashley Rowthorn from Legacy Voice looking at the future of legacy marketing, Sian Norris looking at copywriting techniques and Morag Fleming from Devlin Fleming Fundraising exploring how to take your supporters on a journey.

We believe that we have a brilliant line up of passionate speakers for you to listen to, learn from and engage with over the course of the day – so come and join us!
